Sparknow is a knowledge and change consultancy founded in late 1997 to design spaces for knowledge, and we mean by that not just physical but also virtual and psychological spaces. The ongoing exploration is threefold:

1. What new models are there for work and workplace in the 21st century?
2. How can the regular and one-off processes of knowledge retention and transfer, evaluation, review and assessment be conducted in such a way that the process is of much value to the organization as the end product?
3. What potential is there for art and artistic processes at the heart of organisational and cultural change?

Sparknow associates are independent professionals who share a commitment to changing the conversations of organisations and to the long-term and substantial difference the investment makes to the client and to the participating individuals. This works best in a close, honest, and often challenging, partnership.

We have substantial experience of inventive enquiry in the public sector and, internationally, in the aid and development arena. We marry narrative and analysis, and where possible, use the process of enquiry itself to catalyse self-reflection, provoke conversation, realign stakeholders and build measuring devices which can be used as reference points. As a network of experts from wide-ranging disciplines we bring to each project a method developed over ten years, carried out by a newly assembled and deliberately eclectic team which can implement it in an assured but fresh way. Of particular note is our experience in setting up and taking down portfolios of pilot projects to achieve the very most from each project and from the connections between them.
